94 GC Exhaust system?
So i am about to pull the engine out of my 1994 5.2l v8 GC limited tomorrow as soon as i get the trans unbolted from the block! But i came across a problem with the exhaust when trying to disconnect it from the manifolds! The bolts were so rusted and so were the headers so i just cut the exhaust in two places for easy take out! I figured i should just run a whole new exhaust but i have some questions! where should i buy the headers from? is there any certain brand that i should look for? And i need a kit or something to run my new exhaust back i have seen some people run it to to the middle throw a muffler on it and put a 90 degree fitting on it with a exauhst tip and run it out the side! what do you think would be the best bet and to save a little money would be nice i have almost 550 dollars going into this engine rebuild im doing myself and im starting to run short on cash! Thanks Anthony =)

Save the head ack, run it out the back. I know I had mine like that and it's LOAD..
As for headers I like Borla, little pricy but great products.. But on the 5.2 you can use the ones off of the Rams of around the same year (they flow better) and you can get by with used ones from the Bone yard..

See i live in Michigan we do not have any inspection tests or anything i know what you are talking about but i mean i could pretty much do whatever i want! Well if i get some used headers do you think it would be a bad idea to sand them down and throw some paint on them?

Only use the High Temp exhaust paint on them.. And it's never a bad idea to paint it first. Adds to it's life..
Side note Michigan does have some exhaust laws and one is about side shoot exhaust. I know cause I'm also in Michigan. Where you located at?
