I have a 93 grand cherokee with 7 Inch IRO front long arm kit on 35"s and was wondering what a good transfer case swap would be to get 2 hi 4 high 4 low or 2 hi 2lo 4 hi 4lo. any help would be great thanks!!! Right now its not going to 4 lo and its the NP 249. Thanks

NP231J is what you want, make sure the spline count and input shaft match up.

The 231 is a good choice but only has 3 positions 2wd N 4wd The better choice would be the np242 wich has 5 2wd 4wd 4hi N 4lo

from everything i've read, you'll have to use your old input shaft.
but it's actually quite easy to do. there are many write ups for dismantle.

you could go with the 231 or 242 jeep cases. 242 gives you an option of running full time 4wd.

Alright sweet well all i have o do s find the transfer case and swap it over. Where would you guys recommend getting a SYE kit for the 231 from? I have found many different ones and they all range in price. Any Input would be great.
