Default 5.9 headers

I am thinking about putting headers on my 98 grand cherokee 5.9 and am having trouble finding them. Does anyone know of a resonably priced header for this app?

Funny Summit sells the Doug Thorleys. They are very limited production. Last I heard it took a fellow member a year to receive his. A good solid upgrade to our 5.2/5.9 manifolds is to use the manifolds from the 1992 dodge 5.2/5.9. The numbers on them are 53006621 for the left bank and 53006620 for the right bank. They are a direct bolt in and a lot larger than our stock manis.

Another thing to do is to get the down pipes done. The stock ones have a crush area that is very restrictive. Take a look and youll see what I mean.

They are making it even harder to find them wow. Chryslerpartsdirect had them 2 months ago but now they dont. Maybe they dont have any on backstock who knows. I did however find them here.

You can also try the junkyards. They were found on the 92-93 Dodge trucks, vans, dakotas with the 5.2 and 5.9 and also found on the 93 ZJ. The ZJ has a different part number and so far searching hasnt come up with a number.

Just remember that if you do this to also gasket match. Meaning cut the exhaust wholes big enough on the gasket to match the exhaust holes on the manifold. The gaskets are smaller. Use regular ZJ gaskets.

Stock ZJ manifolds be it 5.9 or 5.2 are the same at about 2" ID. The 92-93 mani's are 2 1/4".
