3" suspension lift do you need to lower the tcase

Default 3" suspension lift do you need to lower the tcase

I have a 3" suspension lift on my 96 grand Cherokee 5.2l do I need to do anything to the transfer case or should I be ok till I raise it more down the road?

I would think the tc would need a one inch drop but you may not need it if you dont get any vibrations.

^^agreed. If you have any vibrations at all, I'd recommend a 1" drop as well.

you shouldnt need to worry about dropping the Tcase with only 3" of lift, Ive got 8" of lift on mine and have only dropped it 1 1/2", my friend has a zj with 6" and hasnt dropped his at all and he has no problems

ZJs are a little longer then XJs you should be all right with a 3in lift and no drop or SYE

NO, but anything over 4.5 you do. so your well in the clear.

I just installed a 4.5 on my ZJ.

you may not get a vibration but if you start wearing 'U'joints that will mean drop

haha i think im orvis krawlers friend that he is talkin bout... no need to get a t case drop if your u-joints are good, specially not at 3" of lift

lol nope, different friend with a zj, yours has like 10 inches of lift zach
