2006 Grand (?) Cherokee with random stall, now runs badly
Hi, folks. Long time no post. It's been a rough year since I totaled my 97 Cherokee. I still have not gotten its replacement on the road. Haven't even started.
Right now I'm looking at a 2006 Grand Cherokee which is for sale because of the problem described in the title. The engine just died, and would restart, but runs very badly.
I don't know much about the newer vehicles, so I'm looking for some pointers. Does the problem sound like any known problems with these vehicles? What are your best guesses about probable causes? Do these thing have a timing belt? Or chain?
I'm looking for any general comments about the reliability of these vehicles, too.
Thanks!
