First off hello from a newb to the forum!
I own a 2006 Grand Cherokee with the 3.7L and over the weekend My wife and I were driving back from a trip to the Colorado River and while driving up a decent grade pulling my 14' aluminum boat out of nowhere a big cloud of white smoke started pouring out from under the Jeep. So I pulled over and noticed some type of fluid running from up in the motor area where the transmission and engine meet down onto the exhaust causing the smoke. After further inspection I found a hose about 1/4" in diameter up against the firewall coming from somewhere below up almost to the hood height with what seemed to be a check valve of some type that was completely soaked with oil?? I thought it was weird that this hose was just hanging there not attached to anything. I looked around the engine compartment and cannot find where it might go? The only thing I can guess is that it overflowed and ran down to the exhaust where it smoked??
Anybody here know what that hose is? and maybe it is not supposed to be just hanging there and should be attached to something?
Any info/help is greatly appreciated
