2005 lardeo p0700 code....
New car for our daughter and its coming up with code po700... it sometimes clears itself...comes up on startup in intermittently...it has 120,000...checked trans fluid and cold it was above the high mark...maybe overfilled? Will this throw the code?? I know this is a general code...should we take to trans place to get a better code read??What should we look for? Thanks

you do need the scanner tool to pull the exact code, which can be done at the dealer or any decent shop. The P0700 is a somewhat generic trans fault code, which as you referenced, is more often than not the input/output sensor.
I pulled the same general code several months ago, where the "actual" code turned out to be the fluid pressure sensor (P0846). I was lucky and was just a bit low on fluid.
