Default 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee stalling ?!?

Hey guys, so recently my dad bought a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee from the auction in a mater of 2 weeks he has replaced the transmission, MAF sensor and TPS sensor and still the car stalls out when put into gear and at a red light the car likes to shutoff, the idle drops so low that the car just shuts off and we are just getting frustrated that everything we are doing is not working, and I’ve checked everywhere and couldn’t find anything so I had to asked for myself lol, I NEED HELP 😂

Crankshaft position sensor is probably bad should use Mopar brand only!

4.0L Six? Is it displaying a fault code? What’s the mileage on your XJ? CkPS Reliability can get sketchy around 195K miles, I changed the one in my WJ 4.0L after a few stall incidents, although no code displayed, my mileage was around 193K miles. Never stalled since, used only OEM Mopar unit, was a PITA to install, worth the peace of mind to get it done.

It’s a 4.7l I just ordered the crankshaft position sensor I’ll write back hopefully with good news, and it has low miles like 110xxx miles, something around that number

Maybe you should consider a radical new approach: Troubleshooting (meaning, TESTING), instead of just firing the parts cannon.

Mark is correct, don’t throw parts at the problem out of frustration, although not a problem mechanically, not good for the wallet. Have you gotten a fault code for analysis? Most auto part stores have an OBD II, and can pull down a fault code for your problem, of course they want to sell you parts, that’s their business, you’re not obliged to parts from them unless you want to, but at least you’ll know what the problem is.

I have a scanner and only thing that the scanner shows is the catalytic converter, but I doubt that’s the problem, cause there’s no actual check engine light on the dash,
