Have a 2000 Grand Cherokee that has the following issues

1) Car would drop oil pressure from 40 to below 10 (replaced oil pressure sensor) resolved issue for several months
2) Car would intermittently stall at speeds less than 20 mph (replaced fuel filter) resolved issue for several months
3) Car will intermittently stall/stop at speeds less than 30 mph, occasionally takes awhile to start, long cranks to start car (unresolved)
4) Car will high rev when shifting gears about 20 mph (unresolved)

Any help/direction would be appreciated. Below is a link with the diagnostic attached.

Replace TPS and/or CPS.

Thank you for the information. I will work on just replacing both. With the TPS being next to the IAC would you recommend I change that out too? Idle hovers around 600 rpm

You shouldn't have to change the IAC, just clean it and it's port of carbon so it can move freely. Be very careful of the piston and don't try to move it. It's connected to a stepper motor and quite fragile. You can use throttle body cleaner or brake cleaner and a toothbrush. Brake cleaner isn't very good for the TPS or MAP sensor though. The best thing to do is take the entire throttle body off and remove all 3 sensors, then clean the throat of the body and the IAC. Replace the base gasket when you put it back on. Using that gasket a second time can give you vacuum leaks that you can't find.

In a pinch, you can rub the base gasket with RTV silicone and wipe it off, let it dry, then install it. That's only as a last resort though. I've made waterpump and thermostat gaskets before by rubbing a brown paper grocery bag cutout, wiping it off and letting it dry.

The throttle body gasket is not a special gasket. It is made of paper. Of course, if you need one they make one. If it is not available, you could make one from smooth compressed cardboard material. Like a new Wix air filter packaging/box would work, or a cereal box. I used the box from a Wix air filter. I did not use any RTV. The original gasket looked like it could probably have been re-used? The homemade Wix packaging throttle body gasket looked better to me though.. Like an upgrade!

Waterpump and thermostat housing gaskets should definitely get RTV.

Got everything cleaned and put back together. Just having a challenge getting the metal heat shield and screw for the CPS into the bell housing. Any tips? The sensor is in and plugged into the wiring harness.

I have a 97 Grand Inline 6
I replaced the cps,ECM and thoroughly cleaned the throttle and its running excellent, I decided not to replace the tps at this time. I got a brand new ecm for $188 and it was very easy to switch out. So far so good.

You do realize your transmission throttle valve cable is disconnected, right? drive like that and burn up your transmission pretty quick. Also it looks a millimetre too tight to my eagle eyes.

The throttle valve clip broke off. After I posted the picture I modified the existing clip.

I wound up doing the CPS and TPS along with a thorough cleaning of the throttle body. The CPS was almost impossible to get secured after putting the new one in. My only issue now is that my oil pressure is back to being low.

Try replacing the oil sensor with a Mopar one. It actually has a printed circuit in it with a crystal chip, not just a diaphragm and resistor.

Jeep is dying again. Looking to replace the coil package.

Ignition coil C circuit malfunction. PO353

Ignition coil B circuit malfunction. PO352

Ignition coil A circuit. PO351

Loss of camshaft crank. P1391

Cylinder 6 misfire detected. PO306

What are we looking at in the video? So you replaced the crank sensor (by the way its not referred to as the CPS, it is the CKPS, the cps is the cam sensor). but you now have a hard code saying the crank signal is lost. Did you replace it with a MOPAR only? They ONLY like mopar for that. Stronger magnet in the hall effect switch.
