Default 2000 GC V8 Need Help...

Just bought this Jeep yesterday. It is currently not running. Previous owner said he ran it dry on gas and then it would not restart. Apparently, it has a newer fuel pump, so... Do you think it could be a pump problem or may be filter is plugged? Or another problem?
I want to try to get this truck going and lifted for the summer so any help would be great.

Check fuel pressure first.

The fuel injectors are fused separately with a 15 amp mini fuse - open the hood, look for the long rectangular box on the passenger side above the battery, open it and it will have a fuse diagram. My Jeep used to blow this fuse every time it would reach 3,000 RPM until I got the injectors clean.

This one really frustrated me.
