Default 2000 Cherokee Power Windows

Power Windows do not work. They are only controllable by the driver's side panel. Is it just a blown fuse? Any ideas?

I know this is the Grand cherokee thread (ZJ) & (WJ) but you only said cherokee (XJ)... so what exactly do you have?

This will help us more than you know!

Ummm no... Its an XJ yes! The year 2000 has really nothing to do with if its an XJ or not. But you put this question in the GRAND cherokee forum! Regardless, I know exactly what your problem is!

Its a short in the child lock, and it is very easily fixed!!

This is the easy way and you wont have a child lock anymore. The connector hes using is under the drivers side kick panel by the hood latch...

And this is the long and probably the better way to do it

My '99 XJ has this problem. The weird thing is that when I push on the plastic between the power mirror switches, child safety lock, and power door lock switch, they will start working.

The red circle is where I have to press to make my passengers able to roll their windows down:

This is a 5 minute fix fellas... I did it in the Napa parking lot, with one piece of wire!
