Question 2 cries for help from a Newbie

Hi,

Just found this forum, and hopefully you can help.

We bought the Grand Cherokee new in 2001, and won't change it for anything. It's just perfect!

Qn 1 - After stopping, it takes a long time of cranking before the engine starts again. Anyone any ideas?

Qn 2 - Is there any way I can get a better mpg by re-chipping? And from where?

Thanks for the help.....

i dont know about 1 but for 2 no, not really. you can use a chip and it will make a difference for a while but the computer will eventually learn around it.

your first question is likely your cps, or crank positioning sensor.
as for mpg's, maybe a faulty downstream o2 sensor...
