Default 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee wiper problem

Hi everyone,
This is my first post to this forum, but I have been reading a lot over the past year and have been helped a lot by many of you.

Now I have a problem that I can't find an answer to and I apologize in advance if this has already been posted but I couldn't find it when searching. My front windshield wipers stopped working the other night. It was odd because it had just snowed and they worked fine to clear my windshield the first few times while I was clearing the rest of my car off from snow. Then I got back in my car and waited for it to warm up a couple minutes and they haven't worked since. I checked all the fuses and none were blown, although I did notice the 20A circuit breaker that is supposed to control the wipers was very hot to the touch.

The washer pump motor hasn't worked since the wipers stopped either.

Is there a fuse I'm missing? I thought it might be the multifunction switch, but my turn signals still all work.

Any help would be appreciated!

Edit: I found the problem. There was piece of ice keeping the wipers from going to their "home" position. After I got rid of that I plugged the circuit breaker back in and they worked.

Welcome to CF!

It's nice they had a circuit breaker on them. They heat up and open, then cool and close again. If it was a fuse, it would have blown and left you without wipers. I'm glad you caught it because the breaker only cycles a while before it burns out.
