Hey guys and gals,

I just bought a 97 Laredo for my partner as her daily drive, I want to replace the factory radio with something more modern.
I have come across a few units on ebay which suit the 99 - 04 GC's (Double Din's). Just wondering if it will fit the 97 or will I have to modify a few things? I read somewhere where someone made it fit just by cutting into the dash a little bit. Someone also suggested (on another forum) maybe moving the AC controls down??

I'm hopeless with cars (always taken them to a mechanic), just want to try and fix her car up a bit (with her help) to make things a bit more comfortable for her.

Quadratec has a lot of installation kits for the ZJ. I bought one and it made it a piece of cake. Not sure about the double din, but it's worth a look. http://www.quadratec.com/
