Have a 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0 straight 6 (hope I said that right) Recently the check engine light was on and the vehicle would randomly jerk. The code it was giving said the position sensor was bad, so I replaced it. Along with new spark plugs and new serp belt. It has felt like it hasn't had all it's umph, but I didn't mind. I just went down the road and it died. Only thing on was the gas light(which stays on along with it showing I am on empty despite what is in the tank) and the check gauges light came on.(not check engine). I was able to start it back up and as I pulled into a gas station it just died again. Only thing on was those two lights. Luckily I went straight into a parking spot. Drive home was ok, but one little jerk. Please give advice. There is at least half a tank of gas. Fuel gauge hasn't worked siince I got it. I have never seen the check gauges light on, so I am stumped. Thanks you for your time
