1996 Grand Cherokee Crankcase Orifice
Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me obtain a part number and where I can find the following:
1996 Grand Cherokee 4.0L Limited:
The valve cover has three holes on top. The middle is obviously the oil cap. The other towards the rear of the engine has a rubber grommet, and inside the rubber grommet is a plastic right angle part referred to as a CCV Orifice or Crank Case Ventilation Orifice. The thrid looks to be the same towards the front of the engine. The one on the front of the engine has a hose connected to the air intake.
The part I need is the right angle plastic part that is in the back. CCV Orifice. Mine broke. I took it out and it doesn't seem like it's a PCV valve. It has an opening a bit larger than a pin hole.
I can find the part in the Chilton Manual. Everywhere I've searched and called... no one has on hand or knows what I'm referring to.
Can anyone help? Or can it be bypassed or perhaps an after-market breather or PCV added?
Thanks for the help!
