So I just got a 95 Grand Cherokee Laredo and it had no stereo. I found wires for an aftermarket system and the factory amp is gone. So I installed a dual xd250 head unit, connecred all the proper wires, turn it on and sound was coming out then the sound began to fade out and now no sound. Please help im stuck.

You sure it had the Infinity system at one time?

Did the 95 GC Laredo come stock with any other stereos?

Yeah, there were a few options to choose from.

How can I tell which stereo it came with?

The Infinity system would have an amp under the rear seat and tweeters in the dash. The other non Infinity systems have no amp, but may have tweeters.

There are tweeters in dash. Do you have a picture of the amp in place under backseat so I could compare to see if amp was removed or if wiring is untouched?

Sorry I don't, mine didn't have the Infinity system. The amp is a black box with cooling fins on it and it should have the Infinity name on it.

There was wiring on the vehicle for an aftermarket system. The stock amp would have been removed if there use to be one. Is there a way to tell by looking at the wiring under the back seat to see if there had previously been an amp installed?

It's hard to tell just by the wiring. My 95 GC Laredo has a lot of wiring for options I don't have such as the infinity connections at the back of the stereo, digital hvac controls, vic connections, etc...
