So I have a 1994 Grand Cherokee ZJ Laredo, 4X4 with the 318 in it.

I have a problem with the HVAC system. So basically when you turn on the HVAC system, the air only comes out of the defrost vent at the top of the dash, not any of the other vents. The defroster light on the defroster button is not on, only when I turn the defroster on does it illuminate. Also, when the A/C system is turned on, it only blows cool air, not cold. When I add freon, I can see and hear the A/C compressor kick in, but it still is not blowing ice cold like it should. With the hot weather lately here in MD, I'd like to fix this. What's the problem and how would I go about fixing it?
