does anyone have any ideas what to do about the compressor not kicking on. the fan runs but the compressor doesn't seem to be. its getting pretty hot to be driving without a/c. it was 101 degrees in it yesterday. my son drives it to school, and we know its old, but its in pretty good shape and pretty much everything else works good on it. we dont want to spend a fortune on it but maybe someone could tell us where to start. THANKS

 

if u press the button and dont hear a small clik the relay might need to be replaced

 

You my have freon leak and it is low. The high pressure switch my be bad or just bad compressor. High pressure switch it is round 2 proms. You can take the connector off and short it with paper clip to see if compressor will come on. If does then you are low on freon or the switch it self is bad.

 

x2 try jumping it to see if the compressor kicks on. I had that problem before just low on freon.
