1994 Grand Cherokee fuel pump not running
I bought my Zj knowing that it needed fuel pump repairs, but I figured it would be easy enough to fix because it was probably the fuel pump itself. After diagnosing it, I figured that it was the fuel pump itself, because the relay clicks, and when I hot wired the old fuel pump, it didn't run. However, when I put my new pump in, it still didn't work. The Jeep will fire right up on starter fluid, but I can't hear the fuel pump running and it isn't building fuel pressure. I even tried swapping in the ac relay for the fuel pump, and it still won't work. I'm thinking either some kind of collision sensor is tripped, bad wiring somewhere (maybe ground?), or I was sold a faulty replacement fuel pump. There are no check engine lights or anything else out of the ordinary. Any ideas? (Jeep is a 1994 Limited with a 318).

I got the fuel pump working, I left the Jeep sitting for about an hour with the battery connected and now it works fine, now I've just got to get the battery connections cleaned and then the Jeep should be able to start.
