1993 grand cherokee limited with np249 tc would like to lift 6 inch is this possible

I think you'll have to swap the front drive shaft to a ujoint shaft instead of the cv jointed shaft if you lift your rig. It is possible, but it will cost you a pretty hefty sum of money in order to have a reliable and good performing lift. You'll need a well designed long arm system that comes complete with new track bars and new brackets for the new arms. Then you have to think about longer brake hoses and relocating the ABS speed sensor wiring. A slip yoke eleminator and new drive shafts will be required. As you can see it will be costly to do it right. You can do a junk yard lift with a bunch of stuff from other trucks, but it will only add up to a lot of headaches.
