I just have a simple question
was the 5.2l v8 option on these AWD or 4x4??
I really don't want AWD, can you even lift the AWD?

The AWDs have more problems than the 4x4.They go through u-joints alot and put eccess wear on the tranny and motor.

It looks like it needs a rear bumper and maybe a lift gate.If the guy is on route 5 in Ravenna then don't buy it.He's a crook and a liar.I almost bought one from him.He buys them at auction and tells you some BS story about it was his daughters and she needs something smaller but leaves the auction #s on the window.Look it over and drive it before you buy from him.If you look behind his barn you will see other grands he's going to sell.

He lives on route 5 on top of a big hill.So if you go look at it and you see a house like this then turn around and go home.He will rip you off in a heart beat.I looked at one at his house that he was asking $3000.00 for and it still had a $1000.00 price on the window from the auction.Good luck on finding one.

After talking to the guy today something just isn't adding up right
He told me he had the motor rebuilt I asked him if he had driven it like this and he said he drove it for 5 months to and from PA about 140 miles each time.
Look at this add date is April 26, 2010 http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/cto/1711512979.html add says the motor had a tick and a knock
Now the date on this one is June 6, 2010 http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/cto/1772310286.html in that one the motor is now rebuilt
So if 2 months went by between the date on each add how did he drive it for 5 months???
Unless he didn't understand my question correctly then it seems really sketchy. first add says it used to be a daily driver so maybe he means that he drove it for 5 months 140 miles each drive??? I'm so confused any opinions?

Best thing is to raise your concerns directly to him, not get a bunch of paranoid opinions from us. That's the single best way to feel someone up to see if they're trustworthy or not. Other than that, take it for a drive, see if she has a knock in it or not.

It sounds like the same guy.He told me he bought it for his daughter2 years ago for college and she needed something with better mpg so he was selling it cuz he bought her a Focus. He said he drove it all through the winter himself. It still had the auction number on the windshield and the $1000 price he paid for it.I can't see a college student driving it to school for 2 years with that on there.Plus the guy is like 80 years old so I doubt he has a daughter young enough to go to college.
