1993 grand cherokee limited front diff gears 3.73 . what do i need?

1993 grand cherokee limited front diff gears 3.73 . what do i need?
I want to order ring and pinion gears do I order regular gears or reverse gears? Do they have to be 3.73 or will 3.55 work?

Your front is a Low pinion D30 and takes standard gears. You'll need your gears up front to match the rear. Also 3.55s and 3.73s use a different carrier so if you are looking to go from one to the other you'll need a carrier as well.

Old fart with a wrench
You'll also need the pinion bearings and installation kit, including shims, crush sleeve, seal, and new nut. This is not a job for the faint hearted. I would replace the carrier bearings also.
