Default 15" wheels on an '00 GC?

my wife has a black 2000 GC, our friends just bought a 97 wrangler with some sweet black wheels with the simulated beadlock. they HATE the wheels and will sell them to us for a steal. will the wheels fit on our jeep? I know that we have 16'' wheels on it now, but I have 15"s on my 99 regular cherokee.

the fact that they are 15in wheels doesnt matter, however the wj (GC) has a 5x5 bolt pattern and the tj(wrangler) has a 5x4.5 bolt pattern so the only way it would work is with an adaptor but they will fit on the xj(cherokee) it has the same 5x4.5 bolt pattern...the wheels you are talking about sounds like a wheel that is available thur summit they are cragars series 352 (i think) they are available in a 15x7 and a 16x8 and maybe bigger not sue i was only interested in that size range with a 5x5 bolt pattern and they arent badly priced hope this helps

15" wheels will on your Grand Cherokee and the only issue would be the bolt pattern... You also need to have new set of tires for those new 15" wheels...

spacers + simulated bead locks wuld look decent tho man. spacers will run ya about $200 ish, with the spacers/adapters you can get 5'' on 5 - 4.5'' on 5 no probs

Ive always heard that 16" were the smallest you could go on a WJ due to the brake calipers.

a 15in with a 3 and 3/4 backspacing will clear the calipers

it's a good time for new wheels, cause we need new tires this fall, so it woulds save me money on tires. I know that they stick out on his wrangler, so the backspacing would be close.

I agree. Everything I've always read states that a 16" wheel is minimum on the WJs due to clearance issues.
