Hello All,
I am working on my girlfriends 04 WJ with the 4.0 and need to do a parasitic draw test. I've watched a few videos on it and am starting to do the test. I have run into one issue though. I need to disable the drivers side door switch, most vehicles have the little plunger like sensor, this jeep does not. I know it is hard wired into the latch, I am just wondering if there is any way for me to disable this. If i need to add a jumper wire or something like that I can, i just don't know where to start with this. I don't want to make this a two person job and have to stand on my head under the dash for this test. Can I just unplug the sensor? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,

I'm not sure about this, but I think you can just unplug the switch at the latch, which means taking the door panel off to get to it. I know for a fact that it worked when my rear passenger's door wouldn't latch and I had to use a ratchet strap to keep it closed until I got another one. Any time a door is open, the BCM is active drawing current. The underhood light is just a bulb with a mercury switch that you can remove the bulb from.
