'04 Grand Cherokee Speedometer Issue
Hello,
I have a completely stock 04 Grand Cherokee, 4WD, 4.7, 545RFE Transmission (I think), Nv-247 transfer case, and Dana 44 rear axle. When I changed tires from the original to another brand (nearly the same size) the speedometer is off. It says 14 mph when not moving at all, then stays, as far as I can tell, 14 mph off. Anyone know what I need to do to fix this?
I read somewhere else that the dealer needs to use a "DRB tool" to adjust something under the abs section of the computer by entering code 704??
Thank you,
Phil

As far as I know it is programmable through the DRB from the dealer. There might be a independant shop around you that might have one but they are pretty specific to chrysler so I kind of doubt it. I would expect to pay no more than $100, unless you know someone at a dealer, or you tried your luck by sneaking into the back of the shop to talk to someone.
Another option would be a aftermarket performance programmer. This option would be more expensive but you would have a programmer that performed many other functions and also allow you to change things around anytime you want. Don't expect any major performance gains by using one of these though.
