04 GC intermittent "no crank"
My 04 GC Overland has a problem with not starting. The problem is more common now.
When the car is cold it always starts. After driving for shorts trips and the car is warmed up, I turn the key and nothing, all dash lights are on and normal, no sounds at all, no codes just nothing. More often than not, (about 95% of the time), it will start when I apply the brake. It only works with the brake if I try the key first without the brake. If I apply the brake before turning the key the brake application does not work and I am stuck there for a while. I just got the car back from the dealer they replaced the Tcm, claiming that it was not communicating. My first stop at the gas station it did the same thing. There's 742 dollars out the window. The dealer does not have a clue they are obviously guessing. Any help out there?

My money's on a bad Park/Neutral Safety Switch, but I would think the dealership would've thought of that.
When mine went out, it wouldn't work in neutral, either.
I'm not familiar with the newer models, but it was an extremely easy repair on my '95 and the part was fairly cheap, too.
