My 03 GCL's idle acts funny every morning when first start it up. I changed the tps thinking it would help but it actually didn't. After it warming up and I drive off to come to a stop at the first traffic light the idle dips low then shuts off....this will happen as many as three times then it won't happen until the next morning or if I don't drive it for more than 5 to 6 hours later being that it got cold again. What are any other possible fixs that I may do to repair this prob??

 

iac might need cleaning

 

2nd.. But not just the IAC solenoid itself but also the channel where the plunger goes into. That gets loaded with crud and jams up the plunger.

 

I've been trying to locate it...... Where exactly us it located? I can't seem to find it in any diagram or instruction

 

What engine do you have? I6 or V8.

Right there it is. If you clean it, don't twist/pull the pintle as it will damage it.
