I think I might be dealing with a bad PCM but I'm not 100% sure. I have a flashed one on the way but it could be a week or so before I see it so I'm trying to rule out any other possibilities. Sorry if this turns into a long post haha.

So basically I got it this way but it was running before just had a bad battery drain somewhere. I'm pretty sure that's the radio though since they had the face plate off because it doesn't turn off. I just yanked the radio fuse for now. It'll crank all day but it won't fire. Gauges won't work but everything else on the car seems to work as it should except the panic button doesn't work. Locks and unlocks fine though.

I replaced the crank sensor, checked all fuses, cleaned all grounds in engine bay, cleaned all the main electronic connection points but they were all already suprisingly clean. Tried to measure the voltage at pin 2 on obd2 port was only getting really low voltage jumping from .01 to .05. I was using an old meter though might go buy a new one and try again. Key dance doesn't work no matter how I time it or how fast I try. Plugged up my new obd2 adapter for my phone. Works amazing on my newer car. Tried in on the jeep and it powered up enough to function and connect to my phone but it couldn't connect to the computer.

If not pcm I'm going to replace Cam sensor, map, tps, next. Also thinking maybe a wiring issue. I'll probably pull some stuff apart and check more wires over the next couple of days. Seems like a lot of repairs were done to the wires in problem areas but looks like a professional job.

 

New PCM is supposed to come today but it's been raining all morning. Hopefully it'll dry out enough to toss it in but I'll probably have to wait until tomorrow.
