02 WJ Head gasket?
So my wife has been complaining about the Jeep cutting off on her every once in a while, nut now it won't start. I got in it and it started up fine, I drove it around for a while with no issues, and then all of a sudden it just turned off, I cranked it right back up and kept driving. When I got it home I turned it off and tried to turn it back on with no success. It's strange to me that it will just spin and spin sometimes, but other times crank right up and drive fine. I checked the spark plugs, and they looked pretty worn. I'm gonna try and do a compression check shortly (my "universal" compression tool isn't so universal).
Has anyone encountered similar issues? What should I be looking for? Oh, now she is saying that it occasionally warms up at redlights, but cools down again while driving. The plugs seem to show that too.
EDIT: There is no engine light, and I can hear the fuel pump turn on.

Check the coil. It won't code. It's one of those intermittent problems that wel drive you nuts. If it were the crank or cam sensors it should throw a code.

Vacuum system held -8, coolant system held 10psi for 15min (radiator cap leaked over 10psi) and spark plugs came out dry after about 10min of trying to crank it. I guess the fuel or pump is full of crap or something. The schrader on the fuel rail doesn't really spray out like I think it should either. Anyone know exactly where to cut in the trunk to make my life easier? Any thoughts are very welcome.

I can't find the specs for the coil, would you happen to have them?
Edit: I replaced the coil a year ago, to try and solve a misfire issue.

Old fart with a wrench
Before you go cutting into the floor and changing the pump, try changing the ASD relay. It also might be the cooling fan is not kicking in and the ASD is shutting it down. This will give you no spark or fuel pressure.

Well fellas, the Crank Position Sensor can go bad and not throw a code. After talking with a friend, and having a spare in the trunk, I decided it couldn't hurt to swap it out, and voila a car that starts and runs better than it did before.
Thank you everyone for your input.
