I own a '02 Grand Cherokee. The engine started shutting off while driving and felt like it was electrical issue. I also had a yellow check engine light come on. I heard an air leak back by the gas tank behind the left rear tire inside the bumper cover. I found out it was the evap system and I found 2 broken lines. I fixed them. The Jeep has not stalled since! Before you go and put a new computer in, you should go back to your rear left tire while the car is running and listen for an air leak. It will sound like your tire is going flat. But it is really air lines to your evap system. When the system has a leak, it can lower the fuel pressure from your fuel pump. This can cause stalling. The check engine light has not come back on.
