'02 GC Laredo swaying at highway speeds
'02 GC Laredo swaying when at highway speeds and you take your foot off the gas. Step back on the gas she straightens out and drives fine. Replaced tie rods, ball joints, stabilizer, track bar, and sway bar brackets (they were a bit woren) after replacing its a little better but not perfect.
Anyone have any ideas on what else to try? Thanks in advance!

Check the bushings in the rear upper Y link on the rear suspension. It has two clevite bushings the mount to the frame and a balljoint type at the top of the rear axle, make sure these are not warn out and moving around on you.

My '97 ZJ did exactly that when a rear lower control arm bracket broke out of the frame. Check carefully all your rear suspension mounting bolts.

I have an 01 Grand Cherokee and mine has done it. You may want to check to see if there may be some lateral movement in your pitman shaft in your steering gearbox. here is the link to what I posted here on the forum.

Anyways have someone rock the steering wheel back and forth while you are under the vehicle watching the see if the is movement. If there is, you may have to replace the seals and the bearing in the lower part where the pitman arm is installed. I replaced mine and it corrected the problem. One thing that I want to stress is to not replace the gear box with a reman unit because most of the time they do not replace those bearings. I can get you the bearing part number if you need it....Just let me know.

Check with jeep4x4center.com. They have the bushings and the ball joint. Look under suspension parts.
