Wound up buying a set of stock XJ/Wrangler wheels with 235/75/15's on them for $50! So I now have 4 good tires and I painted the rims black.
Problem now? Well, as I can't have anything nice, I found 2 issues.
1) My front drivers side is missing a wheel stud.
2) the frame rail that runs lenghtwise to the rocker by the front control arm is basically rotted away. I can pick BIG flakes off with my finger and feels like I could poke a finger through.
And just for fun, my stock tire iron that came with the stock jack broke at the hinge while trying to remove the front tire. So I have nice newer tires in the rear and smaller bald ones up front. On different rims. Fml.

If anyone actually reads this thing btw, I could use a hand in the knowledge department. I'm searching but in the mean time, is there just a bolt in replacement for the wheel bearing and rotor that the studs are on? I have a squeak while driving on that side so I'm sure I need something else replaced. Not even sure what to call this :/
And is this thing just a lost cause with nasty frame rot? It's only bad in that one small section, not sure if a new piece could be welded in? I can get some pics too tomorrow.

So, after more searching I think I need to just replace the bearing unit and U joint on the drivers side. I have a squeak and some noises coming from there while driving anyway so screw it.
Now for a new lug wrench and I suppose it's time to buy a jack and stands.
Still no idea what I'm doing though so feel free to tell me I'm wrong/right haha.

Stil debating replacing the bearing unit or just the one stud for now. Either way I need new tools to get it done.

No pics of last nights work, but I did a basic tune up. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor and air filter. I think we've all seen that stuff before.
Found where the oils leaking from on my valve cover so back to the parts store for a new Valve cover gasket before I change the oil, that way the oil stays in there. Since my oil pressure guage shows all the way to the right(highest) I figure I'll replace the sensor too since it's only like $20 too.
Got my wheel stud too, just need a jack and stands so I can do that.
She's comin along!

At least with as much work as it needs these trucks are pretty easy to work on lol. Just hoping to clear my CEL so I can pass inspection!

Ok, new Oil Pressure Switch got me my oil pressure reading on the gauge again! Have the valve cover gasket, oil and filter to do all that and of course......rain. So that'll get done tomorrow hopefully.
I still have that random CEL though, could use some help there please! It throws code 55, code cycle complete, when I do the on-off key thing so no clue what to check next. Plus my ABS light is on.
I did find some vacuum lines that were a little crunchy around the fittings, would that cause this? I need to pass inspection soon and cannot figure this out! :rage:
