Little Yj was pretty suprising

Me on the by pass for gatekeeper.

Swapped out my transmission
Popped a U joint and thats about it

I am debating selling this hunk. Its just not what I want its close but I dont think I have the ability to make it what I want.
I want a AX15 to start with.
35s,A non fubared unibody. I can stiffen this one but a good bit of damage is already been done. I wish It was lower but I have to much into my lift, I guess 35s would make it seem lower. And I would love for it to be geared but I cant afford that. So I dont think 35s make any kind of sense.
2 Door would be ****. I would love to find a 89-99 clean 2 door 5 speed and start over again. I love it having the better interior and having what it does.
Give me some advice please.

2 doors arent as good as most people think. I have a 2 door, and a 4 door. The 2 door looks better, and if your tall and fat like me easier to get into, but the 4 door is alot easier to get stuff in and out of the rear and more practical in my opinion.

I wish my 98 was a 5 speed too, but sometimes it is nice to have a automatic.

It really depends on what you want. Its best to build what you really want to start with.

I did. But then it spiraled out of control.
5 speed would be great though.

A lot has happened.

I got a shortened drive shaft, bump stops in, finished mocking up my steering, ordered wheel spacers, got my shock towers coming, and put two new u joints in my drive shaft.

Hey, just noticed you have a thread on here too. I usually lurk on your other one on jeepforum (Im grandboost98)

PVC is an awesome mockup tool, mush easier to work with and less expensive for mistakes lol

glad to see your build picking up again!

IDK, sometimes I stop following a thread that has pages of BS then a technical post or two followed by more BS lol its hard to follow/catch up on and I try not to add to the banter unless I have something useful to go with it

I have to do ball joints on the GFs XJ (hope that fixes the DW) and get my front drive shaft balanced since I just did the 1 piece passenger axle shaft swap. Then we'll be planning for some wheeling trips, maybe we'll be able to tag along with you to Rausch creek this year

Sure, couldnt hurt. I always forget about SiS. I joined a couple years ago but it wasnt active then and I went on to other places. I see them popping up a lot more often now though
