Quote: Dude, that's such a sick build. How old are you now then? I'm 17 and could never fund doing all of this. Still such an awesome rig though
Thank you ha I turned 19 in august. Fortunately I've had a job at a country club since I was 15 and they didn't really follow labor laws to well back then I guess and I worked about 40 hour weeks and still do but can't complain about having money for the jeep! Don't worry once you turn 18 graduation money will come in and you'll be buying all kinds of cool ****

Good job on the tail lights. My personal preference is that if I were to do something like this, I'd want "boxy" looking lights. That does look good.

Great build man... What did you use to make sure the turn signals blinked correctly? And where did your girlfriend score that jeep decal at?

Thanks, they blink fine I just plugged the new signals into the wire that was for the original signal. The new signal came with another wire set that had an input for the signal and a ground so I just out the two signal wires together and made a ground that's all. She had them made for me locally at a market.

Interesting... I've just heard that most of the time you need some sort of load resistor inline otherwise they blink too fast... although that might be on the newer xj's - 'cause I drove around for about a month with one of my turn signal bulbs burnt out and they never changed the blink rate...

good to know thanks man.

Yea I'm not to sure on that, could just be the newer ones but I never noticed any change in blinker speed from before.

Not much going on lately waiting for that pay check to come in. Yesterday I did repaint the sliders, cut some pieces out and welded them to fill in that hole in the inner fenders, and then painted them with undercoating. Emailed a guy with chevy springs the other day waiting for him to respond with the measurements so I can hopefully pick them up soon.
