Default XJ Hunter build

My name is Sid and I am building a 93 xj for a off road hunting vehicle and some daily driver duties. I bought the xj pretty cheap (busted xfer case)and have been working on getting it into running shape for the last month or so. Monday starts the lift kit install (4" iron rock off road long arm) have ordered pro comp wheels and plan on Dunlop Mud Rover tires but have not decided between 31 1050s or 32 1150s yet. Any suggestions or comments will be greatly appreciated. Have attached pic of current configuration

If your gonna go with the 32 1150s, trim your fenders and run some 33s. Ive got 5 iches of lift with 33s and trimmed fenders and Ive got plenty of room to spare when Im flexed out.
Trust me, if you go with something smaller, its only gonna a bit before you wanna go bigger.
Nice XJ tough! Love the forest green.

The 32s would be a good size for your 4" lift, 31s might be a bit small. I have only ever heard good things about Iron Rock.

I ordered tires today, settled on 32x1150x15 dunlop mud rovers. Turns out there are none in the state but are expected at the warehouse in stockbridge Ga next week or 10 days. That fits with the time of the wheels comming in from 4wheel parts. Checked on the winch bumper and it should be another 2-3 weeks.

Default forgot this

JIC anyone is shopping around, 4wheel parts is having a nice sale this weekend, I bought 5 pro comp steel wheels @ 55.00 each normally 109.00. The Dunlop tires were 157.00 each mounted and balanced at a local goodyear tire shop, Sams had the 31s @ 120.00 but would not mount them because they were not specified for the XJ. The winch bumper was ordered from JEEPINOutfitters.com. Their C4x4 tapered winch bumper W/O the prerunners and brush guard was 400.00 + 75.00 for shipping. I have a 12,000 lb mile marker on my dodge 2500 4x4 and it has saved my butt several times so am probably going to put a 9,000+ - on the XJ.

Default Dunlop Mud Rover Tire

The tires came in today, but no wheels from 4 wheel parts yet. The tires look much better in person than they do in the dunlop pic. here is what they look like

Default Winch bumper installed

Along with a towbar, was really a pretty simple install, Had to cut out an access hole on the driver side of the front plate to get to two bolts but that was pretty much it. STILL no wheels from 4 wheel parts. they said maybe sometime in the next two weeks. Got the jeep tagged and have driven it some, The LA lift kit from Iron Rock really handles well. Some pics

Default passenger side & fender

The passenger side fender was damaged when I got the jeep so now that I can see the tire I am goint to cut and flare the fende to see how it works. If it works out will do the driver side if not will replace the fender.
