My wife is in her 30s and has never driven because she's not from the states. I decided to get her the easiest thing on the planet to drive and park. An XJ. I picked up a 2dr 2wd '98 for $750 that needed some tlc. The battery kept dying because it had been hit in the door. I used a pole and a come along to adjust that. I'm knee deep in junkyard updates. Replaced the fenders, added Notch Customs flares, 4 hole injectors, bumpers, WJ seats (what a difference in comfort! The rears aren't bolted in yet.), durango mirrors, and a water pump (against my will). I'm just about ready for paint. I already have the lift parts and wheels. That will come after the paint. When she grows bored of it, I plan to convert it to 4wd and beat it senseless. Thank you Cherokee Forum for being a great source of information. I'll update as things progress.
