A friend of mine and I are trying to get to gether for a wheeling trip, he's from michigan we're planing either a badlands, wellsville, the mounds or bundy hill in late June or July. He's got to finish up cj5. My buddy is hopefully coming home from England mid June and were cutting a trail at his gma's out in the boonies of hocking county. When do ya want to meet up?

Well I'll have to see if come home or not to go over there, hopefully he does..... We have a lot of fun memories on the "trail to nowhere" lol. If yah got a dremel I'll be glad to meet any evening this week lol. I can't find mind.... I want my doors off. Lol

nismo_2005 06-01-2010 06:37 PM

ruff88xj 06-01-2010 06:57 PM

yeah the az dremel is a fine tool. lol i put a case window in my computer and it was to much of a job for the wheels that came with it. not sure about the dremel its self yet only used it for that one project.

ruff88xj 06-02-2010 08:22 PM

I went and bought one tonight. Driver side is removed I ran out of disks and the rains came lol. I got pictures but the computer's down at the moment

ruff88xj 06-02-2010 08:57 PM

ruff88xj 06-02-2010 09:03 PM

i only went a lap through the woods b4 the rains came... I had to hurry back to the house to get the door back on lol. So far i like it. Im usaully home from work by 5:30 on weekdays.... I was working in Logan today at the Smead plant

cant wait to see some updated pics of the xj. it will look real nice with the flares back on. and wheeling it will be nicer to so that no mud or rocks get flung at your face.

ruff88xj 06-04-2010 08:36 PM

got the passenger side front door off, major pita. I'll take picuters tommorrow.

nismo_2005 06-04-2010 09:31 PM

ruff88xj 06-13-2010 10:42 PM

Sorry I missed yah, we had a guy quit at work so I've picked up more hours and jobs since now I'm the only tech in southeastern Ohio. I'm gonna be free most week nights if yah still want to meet up. I'm in belpre tomorrow so I'll be home around six

nismo_2005 06-15-2010 05:13 AM

im pretty busy all day to day but free pretty much any other night this week. as long as i have a little notice.

ruff88xj 06-21-2010 08:36 PM

well i havent done much to it lately. just been wheeling it.

I've wired my electric fan so i can i control my fan manualy.

i finished up my cluster swap by getting the correct sending unit for the coolant temp sensor

soon as figure out how to upload the vidoes to youtube, i'll post them up from my last wheeling trip.

So far ive got the suspension dialed in perfect and the Treadwrights are performing beyond expectations.

All is left to do is get a spare tire and wheel the crap out of it.

I may be starting to build my 88 for some more hard core stuff.

ruff88xj 06-24-2010 06:36 PM

i didn't get many pictures from last weekend, a few videos that im working on getting posted up.

here are the pictures

http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/k...e18395f5-1.jpg

I built it quicker than i expected so im gonna try to accomplish some thing else

ruff88xj 07-30-2010 11:49 PM

After installing the snorkle, I finished up the wiring on my cb and went on a little night time run through the back part of my woods. Tomorrow I should have my new windshield in and I'm gonna work on getting my skids installed and my lights wired up

ruff88xj 08-08-2010 03:01 PM

I rewired the hella's on the front bumper to properly fused and relays. reinstalled the light bar and lights up top. mounted lights up underneath for night wheeling, those still need to be wired in tho.

last ones...

http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/k...picts027-1.jpg

had to replace the altenator when we got back to camp. which turn out to be a real pita. the spare i got was also toasted. so my buddy shawn ran home that night and picked up one up and got it to me the next moring. many thanks to him

http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/k...picts007-1.jpg

nismo_2005 08-08-2010 05:06 PM

man wish i would have went. but seeing how my radiator blew on my way home probably a good thing i missed it.

ruff88xj 08-08-2010 06:55 PM

Yah, it was a bad trip for altenators, I toasted mine and shawn's is over charging. So when will you be up and running? Ive got to pull the interior, beeline it and put some drain plugs In

nismo_2005 08-10-2010 03:31 PM

hopefully i will get it up and going this weekend. driving the honda gets so boring.
