So I bought my own Jeep XJ in August of 2012, since my son will be headed of to collage next year and taking his XJ with him.
It is a 5 spd. With 4.0
It has the Dana 30 and Dana 35
33" MTR's
A nice winch bumper.
Here is a list of things I want to do.
Get new 3" leaf springs from Rusty's
1.5" shackles
Warn winch
Install the sliders a friend gave me off his 2-dr XJ after he installed his long arm kit.
Want to get a Ford 8.8 axle
Change gears to 456
Cable lockers for rear end
Under armor (skid plates)
I would like to get a Rubican Transfer case or re-gear a 231 to the same.
There are a lot of cosmetic things I would like to do also but it really isn't in bad shape just a few surface rust spots, minor dings and small dents. (But I promised to help get my sons quarter panel and paint job done first).
Until i get some of the drive train stuff done I will not push it too hard. Here are a few Photos'

Thanks, Dino's
My son and I have had some really good bonding time working on his XJ. Now that I got mine I have already done several repairs to it. (Small ones like the Alternator, front U-Joints, dash lights that were burned out). But this thing needs very little as far as needing anything to make it road worthy.
We are going to do the brake up-grade soon I have two sets of the 1995 brake Master cylinder/brake booster for our XJs’. I will just need to gather all the hardware to do it.

So since I have had my XJ. Here is a list of some of the things I have done.
Swapped in my son's axles from his old XJ.
Dana 30 & Chrysler 8.25 W/3.55 gears
Did the '95 brake booster upgrade.
Complete front and back brake job, complete with new drums, rotors, calipers, hardware and drum brake wheel cylinder.
X-long brake lines.
New stereo.
Used Currie 1-ton steering system.
Off-set rims with 31"Km2's
Hood vents from Gary Briggs. (here on this site)
List of things in the near future. (winter projects)
Dakota steering up-grade with high volume steering pump.
Front end frame rail stiffening plates from Rusty's
Steering Gearbox Spacer from IronRock OffRoad
Re-do my head liner.
Wish List;
Install my Ford 8.8 limited slip.
with this kits (XJ Ford 8.8 Axle Swap Kit) from IronRock OffRoad
Re-gear 4.56 with Eaton E-Locker for the Danna 30
SYE and driveshaft from Tom Woods
Winch for the front end.
Oh God the list is never ending right?

The clear tail light were already on my XJ when I bought it. I have seen them on a sight some were. They are pretty pricy though.

Nice 2 door my man!
I actually really like the white and pinstripe, especially with the clear front and rear lights.
That shot of it in the mountains is awesome looking!
So honest opinion.....what are your thoughts on the KM2's? How do they handle the snow both on and off the road?

Honestly I can't give you a good evaluation on them. Off road they have been great and do real good snow wheeling but I don't trust them on the icy streets. I don't drive my XJ during adverse weather much. I drive my truck to do snow removal. You can manage with them but I really want to buy some Pro-Comp AT's because they are stud-able and I want to buy 6 and stud two of them. But I really need to go ahead and use these up or find someone who can use them if I can muster an extra $1,200.00 lying around.

So after wheeling in the snow a few weekends ago, I was forced to get those plates installed 'cause of the crack that developed by the steering box. I really wanted to stiffen before something like that happened.

So while I am at it I figured I should take care of as much as I can afford to.
Hockey-puck bump-stops, Motor mounts, steering box brace and bull-nose to protect my winch.
