Working on our lists.
So my son has finally showed interest in fixing up his XJ. We got him a 95 XJ and wanted to take all his good parts from his old 94 XJ and make the 95 into a solid little Rig. So now we really have our hands full. Here is what we are doing to his and also my list.
The past week my son has got the bug to get his XJ put together. (He has been to busy with school, work and his girl. So we have started getting his to do list done along with mine). We should have wired up his light a couple years ago but here is where we are at so far. Our list first!
Son's XJ To Do List
Get interior back together
Wire Lighting (Fog-Lights)
Mount Roof-rack
Paint and mount bumpers
Refinish whole exterior
Put lift on
(Needs Steering Brace)
For larger Tires
Put BFG’s on
DONE!!!
Maintenance Needed:
Oil Change
Fix Leaky Trans. Lines
Pressure check coolant system
My XJ To Do List
Mount Motor Mounts and Grade 8 bracket bolts
Re-install Sway-Bar
Mount Steering Brace
Get Anti-Theft Bolts for the Winch
Install Gas Tank Skid Plate
Maintenance Needed:
Change out Trans. Fluid
Install Durango Steering Box
Here is some of what we have done for his fog lights and where we left off today.

Durago Steering up-grade
So I finally got around to my steering box. I wanted to put it together the best way I could. So we bought a AGR steering pump, cooler, new hoses remote reservoir and a few other odds and ends.
I had to move my window washer reservoir to where the 94 XJ has it. So took one off the 94 and plumed it in first. So I would have a good place for the power steering reservoir. It is pretty straight forward but here are some photos of the finished job.
Some say that a cooler will cause binding, but I figure that adding the remote reservoir and the cooler would make it so that I have more PS fluid in the entire system and the cooler shouldn't hurt anything (we will see). I did use the tubing from the old lines to rout the lines around the box and around the corner of the radiator. I just use a flaring tool on the sides that needed it. (I was lucky to have a extra high pressure line from the 94 to accomplished it). The AGR instructions recommend Synthetic PS fluid so I went with Royal Purple.

Thanks, I don't really take the time to up-date my own thread as I should. I like to see what others are up to on their rigs. I have so many plans on what I want to do, but since spring is in full gear I have no time or energy to work on my XJ the way I would like to. I run a small lawn care Biz and spring is the busiest time of the year for me and at the end of the day I am beat. I am just glad I have it trail ready.

****** Block
Went to Harbor Freight and grabbed a couple of things. I want to try and fit the stock fender well rubber to keep mud and debris from getting behind the fender from the gap between the Bushwhacker flares. I figure I can pop rivet it back into place with poly rivets. After getting home I found out I will need a different rivet gun for the ploy rivets (it's like $5).
The ****** block cost $20 w/coupon.

Sticky note.
Hey been a while since I did any updates to my thread, but as I was checking a thread about steering issues I found that tire pressure could be a culprit of drifting. So I want to link this to my thread for a reference. http://www.4wheelparts.com/tire-whee...e-checker.aspx
While I am at it. I really got the chance to do some serious wheeling this summer. Had a blast and met several great people.

I must say, Ouary Co. is gong to be a place I will revisit over and over again. But before I do some of the scarier trails I want to get used to driving shelf type trails (Black Bear). When ever I go it will be a multi day trip with ending each day at the pool!
