Picked up some of these baby's:

Got a great deal on 3 of them. 2 good, one has a small crack which I'm hoping I can 'fix' enough for it to hold air and use it for a spare. Have 2 new ones on the way. Plan is to mount the iroks on these for wheeling and keep my km2's for street use.
Also picked up everything for the wj swap, that wasn't cheap!
If I can scrape up enough cash I'd like to snag an artec truss for my 30 cause its gonna need it. Other than that I'm about done for a bit until I get some of this stuff done. I'm getting overwhelmed with the parts pile, and all the stuff I keep adding to it. With this being my 'busy season' with work, I probably won't have this thing really ready until October.

Wheels on the way, as well as rustys fenders, chromo's for the front (already have the rears) and a lokka for the 8.25, taking the axles out this weekend and they are getting dropped off Monday for 4.56's, then I'll replace my leaf spring bushings, rebuild the RC flex joints, clean and paint some things, install my ZJ discs and hopefully by sometime next week I'll have the fenders. Get them painted up and on and I'll post up a few pics and let y'all know what I think of them!
Next issue is; am I going to have enough clearance for the 36's with only 4.5-5" of lift.... I hope so! I don't want to add any lift, but if I have to I'll throw on the ACOS (~1.25" of lift) and make some u bolt eliminators to lift the rear another 1.5" or so. Just trying to keep this one low if possible!
Pics to come..... If anyone cares lol

Fenders showed up today! Very nice, and very well packaged! I'll try to do a little write up since there seems to be NOTHING out there about the rustys steel fenders....
Axles are done, just have to go pick them up tomorrow, and get them painted. Bummer is I'll be pulling them back out in a couple weeks to install the TNT customs ubolt eliminators, move my shock mounts up, and install the artec truss, kinda got screwed on the timing of things, but, oh well!
Luckily its a holiday weekend so I can get my joints done, leaf bushings in, axles painted and zj discs buttoned up, and then cut up my fenders and get the rustys fenders on. Photobucket wasn't cooperating so ill get some pics tomorrow

Great build, can't wait to see it all come together! So it seems the current steering you have (rustys 1 ton) has been trouble free for you, so why the WJ conversion? Is it that much better? Just trying to educate myself for the future of my build. Thanks

Thank you! You and me both!
I currently have the rustys over the knuckle (heim) steering. Its very beefy, and works great, I don't even run a steering stabilizer. I ran this steering on my last cherokee locked/locked on 36" iroks for a few years trouble free.... That said, for really serious stuff, having two heims stacked on top of each other, on a dana 30 knuckle, in single shear, is less than ideal. I've been reading up on the WJ 'swap' and like the idea of the BIG brakes most, and for me the extra 'arm' is benificial too. I honestly probably would have NEVER done the WJ swap, but a buddy was swapping his 30 out with a dana 60 so I got a killer deal on the knuckles, with the spacers already welded on, and the rotors. Since I need new ball joints anyway, it made sense for me. And hopefully my tie rod will be the same, all I should have to do is shorten my drag link a little, and my track bar is already otk so I'll still be using all of the rustys steering. They sell the same steering in a wj swap kit, but its spendy!

Got axles geared, lockers in, painted and under the rig! Had nothing but issues along the way, unfortunately had a total amature do the axle work. Guy f-d up a lot of stuff, which I had to then fix, and all I got was 'I'm sorry, I don't know how that happend'.....
Also got my fenders on, but still have some finish work and painting to do.... Here is a pic of the fenders installed:

Well I picked up a rig for my brother FINALLY!!! Got him a '95 xj 4.0, auto, np231, HP dana 30 front with an Aussie, dana 44 rear with limited slip and 4.88's.
Has tnt customs long arm front and tnt's full coil conversion rear 4 link, sitting @ 6" on some 35" dura trac's. Also has jcr sliders, brown dogs, grand cherokee leather seats and a few other things, nice little rig!
So I'll be replacing the steering and brakes on that, as well as throwing in some 4340 shafts and a few other little things and then it will be ready to roll. Which means I gotta get busy and finish mine up so we can hit the trail. Luckily all I have left to do at the moment is slide in my 4340 front shafts, get my iroks mounted on the raceline's, burn on my ubolt eliminators, swap out my shackles for the boostwerks shackles, swap leaf bushings and install the 1.5" front coil spacer....
Been lazy but I'll get some pics of the 95 here shortly, and some pics of my 98 as soon as I get the iroks mounted!

Awesome looking Jeep! I bought a white 97 cherokee sport about 4 months ago. So far have been doing a lot of maintenance stuff. It only has 87000 miles and had set for awhile so the more i drive the more bugs i find. My plan is for a 3" lift in the near future and currently have some bfg km2's sitting in my basement on cragar wheels. I don't have the funds for a lift for awhile so i am considering doing a 2" budget boost. I can get the front spacers for free so only need the shackles. It is my first Jeep so has been a fun experience so far.
It is good to see another white jeep to know what mine could possibly look like! Keep up the good work!

Awesome jeep man! That thing looks exactly like mine, could be a twin!!
So I've been slacking on this thread, I need to fill in some stuff! Been busy with work, my brothers rig, my rig and life in general.
I'll post up some pics of my brothers rig and some of the stuff I've done to it soon....
Now on to the 98, had a huge fiasco in ordering my other two raceline's, and long story short ended up with 4 new ones.... They only make one style in the 15" flavor these days so that's what I got.
Painted the rockers, did a few other things like wiring up a fan switch, finally mounted the iroks, and ordered a few more small parts....
Here's a pic of the tires mounted:

Now I was planning on lifting it another ~1.5" front and rear, BUT I love the stance! Its lower than my brothers 6.5" lifted xj on 35's even with my 36" iroks!
So I did a little 'flexing' and the tires stuff, not much room to spare, but they stuff!
So my thinking is bumpstop this sucker and wheel it, see how things go. I wanted to keep it low, and I'm hoping this will work out.... Got to wheel it a few weekends ago on the 33's and it was flawless! Have a big thanksgiving run planned and that looks like it will be the test in regards to the iroks clearance....
What do you guys think?
