Engine, transmission, transfer case, and differential oil changes. I go with full synthetic since only the engine oil needs to be changed regularly. Once you make the switch though you have to stay with it. Take a day and do it all with someone experienced. She will thank you for it. Coolant flush new thermostat. Fire extinguisher. Basically your protecting your jeep from any catastrophic failures that would leave you without transportation. The same experienced person that helped you change the fluids could then help you look over the the rest of it. Look at any needed maintenance as a chance to modify. Once she runs and drives smooth you can start with all the unnecessary fun upgrades as long as you keep a little money set aside for any unforeseen maintenance. While you're saving you can do some updating. Me personally I'd rip off the side molding, fenders bumper caps, cut and fold front/rear fenders and bedline where everything was including the bumpers and hood/roof if they're faded. Then I'd black out all the chrome and badging. I think your burgundy and black would look really good together. Also, I'd throw out the carpet and fix any rotten floorboards then bedline it. Keep your eyes open for a good deal on some used 31" wheels/tires for a few hundred dollars. Good luck and have fun! Keep us posted.
