When i hook up my map sensor my engine dies ?????
I've built a 4.6 stroker for my 87 Comanche. I used the 1996 H.O head and the 2000 high flow intake manifold as well as a header. Engine runs strong as hell in basic function with the MAP sensor disconnected but will not run with it connected. The map sensor is putting out 1.3 volts at idle just before the engine dies and the book says that's in speck. The new intake doesn't have a place for the EGR valve and I've just ran the vacuum lines into one another. Has anybody ran into this problem ? My timing is perfect TPS is putting out .8 ?????? I'm at my wits end ??
