I was going to say those are some clean welds haha
Maybe I should have said YES!
So peeps would be impressed, LOL.
I am actually not real happy with most of the welds because of the damn weld through primer. But they will be better moving forward since I wont use it in most places now.
EEH im not sure about skills, but thanks.
I have been fabricating off and on for about 24 years. Its not my full time job anymore but I still do quite a bit. Body work though is definatly not my strong suit. Lol.
I have made many a bumper in my day though. I will post a pic or two of my favorite one... not so much the design of the bumper but the project overall.
I was able to get quite a bit done after work yesterday. The bed sides are completed now, I plan to try and work on it some today after work as well but we will see.
My panels are 1/16" thick or 16 gauge. and the perimeter is 100% welded, and will also be seam sealed before bedlined.
Nice work man really nice work! How are you going to seal off the bottom portion?
It will be more sheet metal, that will tie into the other section in front of it.
And the front section will be sheet metal on the inside of the cab that will bend over the top and give me the lip for the bulb seal to mount on.
And I have an idea for the lower section that includes the commanche tailgate I have....
