Went to the feeding grounds again yesterday. Scored 4 kenwood speakers from a 93 XJ and a visor, factory jack kit, sun visor, and a seat belt all from the same jeep. Could have got more but it was closing time. That will be my go to jeep for parts. Was also able to score a washer bottle for a local Jeeper and a few parts for my friends Isuzu Trooper. Wasn't a bad day. Will be going back nxt saturday to get the buckle for the seat belt. Thought the belt would fit my buckle since it is only a year older than mine, but no go. Still looking for a couple full size spare rims and tires. And would also luve to run across a couple off road bumpers.

Havn't done much on the XJ. Been too busy helpin my buddy on his Trooper. Hopefully b able to work on mine in the next couple weeks. We can only work on his on saturday nights. Were puttin new gaskets on the valve covers and intake. He also rebuilt his throttle body. We started puttin it all back together tonight. Got the intake and driver side valve cover on. Waitin on paint to dry to put on the other cover and TB. Then just a few odds and ends. He took a few pics. Will post tomorrow.

Subbed. I love the 'urban' and 'expedition' type builds.

Put on some Walmart off road lights yesterday while on a 30 min break at work. Didn't get to wire them up. I plan on that today. Will get pics when done.

Oh, and we had to pull an all nighter on my buddies Trooper night before last. His wifes Sportage had a wheel bearing go out and parts store didn't have the seal so she needed his truck to drive to work. So the Trooper HAD to get on the road that night. Needless to say I was a zombie yesterday while at work (he didn't have to work, so he slept, grrr) But that Trooper runs soooo smooth now, when ur at a stop light, u gotta look at the RPM guage to nake sure it's runnin.

And that's the reason I finaly put on my off road lights. If I would have tried to take a quick nap on my break, I wouldn't have woke up till this morning when it was time to go to work.

U can see my XJ in th background. It can't wait to get in the shop to finish up the lift (shackles) and when I get some different fender flares or some metal to build my bumpers and flares, then I will trim the fenders.

I'm gunna have a little on this thread about the Trooper too. It used to belong to an old man we called Pops that we used to know. Pops was like a dad to us (and I also dated his daughter, who was too much like a sis to us, lol) But when he died Mum (Pops wife) offered me the Trooper for $800. I didn't have the cash at the time, so I told her to offer it to Curt. He bought it in a heart beat. Like Pops, the Trooper is like family to us. So here's to u Pops!

i have the same fogs. they arent the greatest but not bad for the price. do yourself a favor and run your own wires, dont use what it comes with. only other thing i did to them was get some lock nuts as the **** it comes with will loosen and fall off. oh and i sanded the covers down to get rid of the white on it and threw some of my own stickers on it.

Best Buy tryin to make fuel efficient vehicle driver more special than Jeep drivers? I don't think so! Only thing that would have made this pic better is if I was flexin on the Prius nxt to me!

My xj came with that same stereo you have in yours. I've had to tear mine apart to fix solder joints. Best buy failed. Cherokees are fuel efficient for a suv.

Went to Jeep night last night. Had fun meetin new Jeepers. Got my XJ on a lift and noticed that it had been rear ended. Frame is bent down at the rear bend of the wheel well. Oh well, no big deal. We were about to put on my shackles and found out I cnt use them because the ones I need have a bend, the ones I have DON'T. So sellin those to my Trooper buddy. Also found out I need a new floor pan on pass rear seat. It's not bad, but it's a hole. They checked all my suspension, need new lower ball joint on drivers side sometime in the nxt yr or so, might as well replace all. And my upper control arms could use some new bushings. So all in all, not any real bad news. They said it's ready for some trails as it is!

Picked up this rack on my way back home this weekend coming thru Ft. Smith. Too bad it wasn't for me. A fellow XJer wanted it but lived too far away from where it was and only lived 45 mins from me. So being the nice guy that I am, I stopped and got it for him after seeing their convo on here. So now after seeing it on my XJ, I WANT ONE!
