Well I got my tail lights in the other day. Going to put a buddies fuel pump it and see how she does in the bush on sunday hopefully.

I ended up using VW fender markers as turn signals and put them in the bumper, It doesn't look to bad.

So I ended up taking it out Today. The truck did quite well. There are a few things that are going to need to be done. For one my home made posilock cable kept disengaging it's self so I'll have to do something about that and secondly the suspension is WAY to stiff now that the truck is so much lighter. Other then that I was quite pleased with the truck on and off road manners. Lotta fun on the wet road with no weight in the rear, gets loose nice and easy haha. Well I only got 2 pictures of the jeep out in the bush but I got a few videos as well. Here yea go....
Here we are at the trail head:

Here she is parked at the top of the sand pit

And onto the videos:
First little hill on the trail

A Small rock face that is fairly steep

Through the ditch and up the hill

Here is buddy of mine going up the small but steep rock face

And him also going up the sand hill (It's much steeper then the video makes it look)

On the way back we had a bit of trouble but nothing to major. Buddy in the red jeep somehow lost all 5 of his lug nuts on the drivers front tire. The only damage that was done was he pushed in 3 studs and bent on of those 3. Also messed up the rim. We managed to get it back together with 4 studs and got it out to a parts store were he put 5 new studs and nuts on and got it home. Other then that it was a pretty good day.
Next on the agenda is Roll Bar of some sort then tow point front and rear. Then I'll address the stiff suspension.

Ok. So paint is going to happen sometime this week or next week, I just can't decide on the color. I have narrowed it down to two....
Krylon Camo Khaki or Krylong Camo Olive Drab
What do you think. There is already one OD green XJ in town and my last XJ was OD green. I'm kinda thinking Khaki this time just dont know if it will be to much...

Thanks for all the kind words guys... So I've decided that I want to do something a little different with the paint. I'm still going to paint the whole jeep either OD or Khaki but I've added a design to the side.
Here is my Photoshop rendering of what I wanted.

And how it turned out.

I didn't like how the teeth just ended so I decided to add to it. I curved the upper line and extended the teeth.

Hopefully tomorrow I can finish the drivers side and then start on the passenger side. This paint project has turned out to be harder then I first thought. Doesn't help that I am painting over top of Gravel Guard but what ever. Should have finished pics up tomorrow.
