The Trev-Rock 90 XJ build...newbie build that is..
My name is Trevor and I am 16 in NC. I wanted to introduce myself and show you my new XJ (well new to me). She is a 1990 Cherokee Laredo. My dad picked her up for me as my first car (Jeep).
This is what she looked like stock
Then she had some minor surgery, a 3.5" Rough Country lift, 31/10.50/15 Goodyear MTR tires, Mickey Thompson Classic II wheels and a Rola Roof rack.
Then my dad and I found a Carr light bar on CL and bought 6 new Wally-world Baja Blazer fog-lights,
and here a few more shots of her with a bath
and this is her all dressed up for my 16th B-day party (new bumper lights not on yet)
I know she ain't the baddest girl on the block, but she is mine.

I can't lift it anymore until I drive it for a while (my mom's rules). But I would like more lift, and maybe 33" tires. At some point a new radio and window tint. Other than that, just ready for the trails.

id stick with the 3.5" lift to avoid drive line issues, and trim your fenders to stuff some 32's, thats what i did. keeps COG low.
and sweet deal dude! good luck on ur build....youll get bit by the bug soon enough

Good looking Jeep. I'm thinking about putting four Bajas on top of my XJ too; how is the light quality of those? Ever had issues with limbs knocking them around?

You should be very proud that a very nice looking 90 XJ your father bought for your birthday. Both of you must have shopped hard to find one that clean.
Your progress and upgrades are coming along quite well I must say. I really do like roof rack a lot! The lift you have now is good for at least 33x12:50x15"" tires with some fender trimming. That is what I have on mine with a 3" lift and I run on some pretty rough trails at times. I'm not a big time "Mudder" or "Rock Crawler" but do enjoy watching them.
Congrats on what you have done so far!
