Default Summer Project X

So, we need another jeep like a hole in the head. But every now and again you hear those stories of a jeep rotting away in some farmer's field or in a barn somewhere. This happens to be one of those cases.

The original owner from Va put a lot of money and time into this rig. A young kid then bought it and found out it was more work than he could put into it. Recently graduated, he tried to start his own business. You can't run a landscaping/ lawn business out of this XJ so he bought a truck. This XJ sat in his field for at least a year. And we eyed it, and eyed it, and eyed it. When time came, he wanted it gone more than he needed the money. This is where we came in.

Waving a coupla bills got us into this 1988 XJ. 4.0L, 5 speed, Np231, Hp D30/ C8.25 (w/ locker), snorkel, cage, Rusty's ?" Lift, 33" MTR's, rolled fenders.

The project then, you ask?
  • Strip it
  • Clean it
  • Herc it
  • Paint the cage
  • Fix the headliner
  • Install a stereo
  • Fix the steering column
  • Add a front bumper
  • Change the fluids

All by the end of the summer, all for under a grand, all by ourselves.
