Looks awesome man! I highly suggest trimming off your front bumper, air dam, plastic thing, "for lack of a better name", and move your lights to the top of your bumper. I did it on my xj and love it. Also, how well do those sliders work? I thought just bolting a thick piece of steel to the rocker wouldn't hold up?
the sliders have worked well. used the jack on them, and a few weeks ago used them on a rock. held up well to slide on, but doubt it will take a drop.

Well, finally installed the frame stiffeners.. they were only sitting in my garage since Dec.
Clean frame

Dirty shirt

Stiffys welded on

Took 20 mins to clean frame w/a flap disc. Took a while to fill all the rosettes. THERE ARE A TON on the hd offroad brand. 2 coats of primer, 3 coats of paint, and will do another 2 of rust protection. Jeep feels much better!
Got to test the body flex on Sun, and i like how the stiffeners make the jeep feel.

i would.. but first compare the amount of rosettes on all the stiffeners.. the HD seems like overkill. took a WHILE. but they seem to be priced the best. and after installing the stiffs, it's now the #1 thing i recommend on an xj. regret i didn't put them on even stock, the day after i got them.

took the jeep out for another trip before the snow starts to hit.
ran halfmoon creek. rated difficult, but there is only one spot that's a good challenge. beautiful scenery tho, anywhere you looked.
really pleased w/the frame stiffeners again, and the jeep overall. goes anywhere, drives 75 w/ease, and is averaging 18+.
notice the nissan parking at the top

pretty good little obstacle with wet tires.

obligatory poser shot

not sure what else i want do now. thinking of jks bar pin eliminators for front. have the teraflex now, and don't like the angle of the shocks. also, need to bumpstop bad. jeep was bottoming out quite a bit while loaded w/gear.

not a whole lot of new jeep stuff, just wheelin'.
my lack of bumpstopping finally did in my driver's side front shock. it's dead. waiting on a replacement. not sure how much life is left on the pass side.
but the rig flexes great. may go to a longer shackle. was looking at 33s today too.. must... resist.

Finally installed some front bumpstops! Yay!
I did some driveway flexing and was able to pull the front spring out by hand
Can now go with a bit longer shock, and it seemed stock steering still wasn't binding enough to get replaced
. Longer lines would be good too, but they weren't quite banjo strings yet. Has me wanting LAs now haha.

shackle relocation brackets FTW!

Got a smokin deal from a buddy on some bfg at 33x10.50. Put them on to test fit.. the bs on the wheels is nice, a bit wider stance, but gona have to think about how to make them fit. Trimming for sure, but might have to get a wheel with more bs to pull the tires in a little bit... we'll see.
the 33" all terrains, are actually 61lbs vs the 31" mtrs at 64lbs.. ride better and quieter. not a bad trade off..

also, got some rear bumpstops in now.. welded some 1.75 tube, 4" long, on top of the leaf plates.. extended my bumps about 3.5". no pics..

Wow.. been so long since I did an update.. the weather has been cold, but last wknd got to bolt on a bunch of goodies stacking up in the garage.
custom bumper and engo 9k with control box mounted under the hood. (also a low profile roof basket for when I go camping)

how an xj winch bumper should fit.

99+ intake & xjfiles bored tb

spectre cowl air kit

jcr belly pan (I drilled last bolt after the pic
)

I'm really happy w/the mods. that spectre kit is LOUD, I needed the room for the winch box though. my jeep is begging me to go bigger. must resist.
