Yeah since I moved out my parents' place this is the 1st house I've lived in that has a carport. I'm normally under a tree or something. Lol!

My list consist of:
1. Full widths D60/D70 (cuz a D35 sucks and no point in replacing it if I plan on going big)
2. Gears and lockers (again...no point in installing them in my XJ axles when I know I'm going full width)
3. Hack and tap
4. Bumpers front and rear with tire carrier (winch will be on receiver hitch plate for front/rear use)
5. Standard tranny (cuz I hate autos for off road vehicles)
6. Hood vents (got everything to build them...just need to do it)
7. Yank carpet and Herculine
8. Long arms (probably from ironman4x4)

Probably missing stuff. I know the list goes on. Just need to figure out what order to do everything.

Default back to business!!

i have some left over bbq grill from when i did my rack so i decided i'm gonna use that for my hood vents. stopped by Advanced Auto Parts the other day to pick up some door edge trim and found this Victor air pump. puts out 150 psi. the tag on the shelf said $60 so i thought about it then set it back down. i have that scuba tank that i rigged for on board air and want a pump to tie into it. when i got to the check out i looked behind me and saw that this pump was 50% off so i couldn't resist for $30! i removed my spare tire and threw it up on the rack so i'm gonna mount the tank against that inner wall and mount the pump on that floor bracket that's under the spare. it doesn't have a shut off relay once it hits a certain psi but that's cool. i'll keep the tank at about 100 or 120 psi and when i need to air up something i'll just turn on the pump and do my thing. the tank will act as a reserve so that maybe it won't take as long. once i'm done airing then i'll shut off the pump once my tank is back up to the 100 or 120 psi.

I'm lovin them so far! I went through some freshly plowed MUD without airing down and they didn't even spin. Caked up stupid but kept pulling. I've had them less than 5k miles but from what I read you can get 40k out of em if rotated properly.

started my hood vents the other day. started cutting where i wanted them and just decided to go bigger! shouldn't have any cooling troubles now huh? lol! i decided to go this big because we all know how they tend to overheat. especially for me when i'm pulling a load. for that xmas parade the other day when i pulled a float i put a can under my hood which kept it open about 3 inches. made all the difference in the world! never got hotter than like 180 or 190 in stop and go 5 mph traffic. when it was over i closed the hood and hooked back up to my boat and it got up to about 210. all i have left to do is add the grill stuff then i'm done. tell me what ya'll think...
